dishwasher repair, or turn the breaker off that supplies electricity to your dishwasher. Here are some ideas that
may help:
Maytag Dishwasher Repair - Dishes Do Not Clean Properly
Here are some common reasons that dishwashers do not clean properly:
1. Faulty water inlet valve. If this is the problem, replace it.
2. Water temperature is not hot enough. The temperature should be between 125 - 140
degrees F. If you have your water heater turned too low, that just may be the problem.
3. The spray arm is cracked and has a leak. If this is the problem, just replace
it.
4. Dishes are not loaded properly.
Of course, it would be nice if this was all that was wrong. This would make your
dishwasher repair a synch. Just read the instructions that came with your dishwasher and load it properly. The most
common mistake people make is to overload their dishwasher with dishes, etc.
Maytag Dishwasher Repair - Leaking Problem:
The first place to check is the drain hose, especially where it bends inside the space
where the dishwasher is. You will have to pull the dishwasher out, unplug it and check for any cracks.
Do not let leaks go for any amount of time. If you do, you may find yourself replacing
your flooring, or even worse, the sub-floor...and that can be costly. So repair all Maytag dishwasher leaks as soon
as you discover them.
Dishwasher Repair - Dishwasher Will Not Start
This can be caused by a lot of different problems. The most common cause is that the dishwasher is not getting
the voltage it needs to work. You can check the voltage with your voltage meter, starting at the main power
harness. This is where the power enters into the dishwasher. You will have to remove the lower access panel to get
to the power box.
And don't forget to check the door switch(s). Some newer dishwashers have two door
switches. If they are faulty, your dishwasher will not start.
Maytag Dishwasher Repair - Dishwasher Will Not Fill with Water
The most common cause of this problem is that you have a faulty "fill valve." If you are skilled at checking
electrical problems, you can check for the problem using an Ohm meter and a volt meter. This can be pretty
complicated for someone with limited electrical knowledge, so it might be better for you to get a repair man to do
it.
I hope this page has been helpful for you to get your Maytag Dishwasher
repaired.
Have fun!
